Cross-Country Meet - Thursday, September 22nd
We are very excited for our first cross-country meet taking place at Margaret Greene Park tomorrow! We are very proud of the 125 students who joined the team this year!
This is a message for parents/guardians of children attending the meet. Please be sure your child is equipped with the following items:
- Epi-Pen and/or puffer if needed
- Their St. Ignatius shirt or school colours (purple & yellow)
- Plenty of water
- Appropriate running shoes
- Appropriate clothing (it is forecasted to be cool)
- A lunch
The bus will leave at 10:15 sharp. For those driving their child/children, we ask that you please pick your child up from the front entrance by 10:00. A staff member/volunteer will be outside recording each child’s departure. Please ensure your child has checked in with this adult before leaving.
Upon arrival, we ask that all team members meet in the space between the two baseball diamonds. Look for the purple shirts & hoodies or Mrs. Mirotta-Stronks in her bright yellow jacket!
It is very important that students remain with the group at all times. This is not only to ensure students’ safety but also to ensure students make their run time. Please see the schedule below.
If you drive your child to the meet, you must drive your child back. If your child takes the bus to the meet, but is being driven home after the meet, your child must check in with the following teacher:
Gr. 3 - Mrs. Weinstein
Gr. 4 - Mrs. Blackmore
Gr. 5 or Gr. 6 - Mrs. Cassolato
Gr. 7 or Gr.8 - Ms. Rose
